Polymyositis S&S
A
Proximal to distal muscle weakness over months
Increased CK in serum
Swallowing / neck muscle involvement
E.g. difficulty getting out of chair / brushing hair, trouble swallowing food, normal sensation
NO OCULAR SYMPTOMS (think MG/LEMS)
NO CHANGE IN REFLEXES
NO SENSORY INVOLVEMENT
+/- rash and crackles
