Nerves Flashcards
1
Q
Major branches of Brachial Plexus supplying arm muscles
A
- Musculocutaneous (more Anterior)
2. Radial (more posterior arm, and forearm)
2
Q
Axillary
A
Innervates the deltoid and the teres minor muscles
3
Q
Radial
A
-Innervates posterior muscles (extensors) of the arm and forearm muscles (motor and sensory)
4
Q
Radial’s 2 branches
A
- Superficial branch
2. Deep Branch
5
Q
Superficial branch of radial nerve
A
runs under the brachioradialis and is the cutaneous nerve of the dorsum of the hand
6
Q
Deep branch of radial nerve
A
goes into the supinator muscle and eventually comes out of it as the posterior interosseous nerve
7
Q
Musculocutaneous Innervates
A
- anterior muscles (flexors) of the arm
- Changes into the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve
