Nerve Pathway Flashcards
Musculocutaneous Nerve Pathway
C5-C7
Pierces coracobrachialis (impingement point) Passes distally between biceps and Brachialis (impingement point) Runs down lateral cutaneous aspect of forearm
Median Nerve Pathway C6-T1
Travels medial aspect of arm with Brachial artery Lies in cubital fossa Passes both heads Pronator Teres Gives palmar cutaneous branch Passes carpal tunnel
Ulnar Nerve C8-T1
Passes medial epicondlye
Passes 2 heads of flexor Carpi Ulnaris
Passes superficial to the flexor retinaculum
Passes through ulnar canal
Nerve Pathway of Axillary Nerve C5-C6
Enters Quadrangular space
Winds around surgical neck of the humerus
Supplies deltoids and Teres minor
Radial Nerve C5-T1 Nerve Pathway
Enters lateral triangular nerve
Runs in radial/spiral groove
Passes through lateral aspect of cubital Fossa
AT LATERAL EPICONDLYE
Deep Branch- Muscle and Nerve
Superficial Branch- Cutaneous Supply
Deep passes 2 heads of Supinator to from radial tunnel
Superficial runs through brachioradialis and runs over anatomical snuffbox
