Artery Pathwa Flashcards
Axillary Artery
Begins as the continuation of the Subclavian Arterty at the first rib
Passes deep to the pectoralis minor
End at the teres major where it is named it Brachial artery
Brachial artery
Continuation of Axillary artery at the teres major
runs medial to the humerus between anteriro and posterior muscles (PULSE POINT)
Branch in ARM: Deep artery
Runs into the cubital fossa located between MEDIAN NERVE and BICEP TENDON
Termiantes within the cubital fossa bircfurcating into raidal, ulnar artieries
Deep Artery
Euns throguhg the lateral triangualr spcae with radial nerve
Passes posteror to the humerus in the radial/sproobve radial groove with radial nerve
Radial Artery
Lateral to the cubital fossa
enters deep to brachioradialis
Lies on anterior surface of distal radius
Lateral to tendon of Flexor Carpi Radialis
Winds laterallt around wrist, passes throguh floor of anatomical snuffbox, piereces muscels of 1st.2nd metacarpals
Anastomoses with ulanr artert form the superficial and deep palmar arches
Ulnar Nerve Patwhay
Enters deep pronator teres LAteral to felxor carpi ulnairs Enterns palms superifical carpla tunnel (flexor retinaculum) Passes throguht he unpar cana; with unlar nerve Anastmoses superfical and deep arches
