• unable to oppose thumb
• chronic - ape hand deformity

Causes:

• AC IV
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• elbow hyperextension
• forced elbow extensioning post-NMB admin

Radial Nerve injury s/s and causes?

• external IV pole compression
• excessive BP cuff cycling
• tourniquet
• tightly tucked sheets
