- Physiological
- Breast milk jaundice
- Sepsis (Group B strep infection)
- Feeding difficulties

- Biliary atresia
- Hypothyroidism
- Haemolytic disease of the newborn
- G6PD deficiency
- Hereditary spherocytosis
What are the common causes of Rashes of the newborn? (3)
- Nappy rash (irritant, candida, seborrhoiec)
- Milia, erythema toxicum
- Mongolian blue spot
What are the less common causes of Rashes of the newborn? (3)
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Haemangioma
- Congenital infection (CMV)
What are the common causes of Jittery baby? (1)
- Hypoglycaemia

- Drug withdrawal (neonatal abstinence syndrome)

- Meconium aspiration

- Congenital anomaly (diaphragmatic hernia, trache-oesophageal fistula)

- Necrotising enterocolitis
- Retinopathy of prematurity
- Intraventricular haemorrhage
- Osteopenia of prematurity
- Neurodevelopmental disability (incl. complications such as reflux and aspiration)
