Detail NEOC accommodation

A

The two main accommodation blocks for trainees are Collins and Farncomb Houses:

  1. Both are three-story dwellings with a communal laundry toilets and showers on each deck.
  2. There is a single cabin per trainee with a single bed, desk with shelving, chair, bin and a tallboy. The tallboys have minimal room for personal clothing as uniforms take up the majority of the space.
  3. Trainees are expected to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness not only in their own cabin but in the communal areas as well.
  4. The discipline of living in “ship shape” conditions is introduced from the outset of a Navy career.
