Pathways of Metastasis

A
  1. seeding via body cavities
    - peritoneal cavity = most common
  2. lymphatic spread
    - follows natural drainage
  3. hematogenous spread
    - follows routes of venous drainage
    - once it goes to blood can go anywhere
