NECK - Muscles Flashcards
ECM - origin
2 origins:
1 - Clavicula
2. Sternon
ECM - insertion
Mastoid process and occipital bone
ECM actions
Bilateral - extension of the head
Unilateral - rotation of the head
ECM relationships
fosa supraclavicular menor o de Sédillot
posterior triangle
anterior triangle
What forms the fosa de sedillot?
The 2 origins of the ECM
What passes through the fosa de sedillot?
internal jugular vein
ECM - innervation
accesory nerve (11) and the cervical plexus
How many portions does the trapezoid muscle have ?
3
a. una ascendente (INFERIOR),
b. una descendente (SUPERIOR) y
c. otra transversal
Origins of the trapezoid
Occipital, nucal ligament and las vértebras espinosas de T1 a T11/12
Insertion of the trapezoid
Clavícula, acromion y espina escapular.
ACCIÓN del trapecio
Movimientos escapulares (lazadas musculares).
INERVACIÓN del trapecio
Spinal/Accesory nerve XI and cervical plexus
What are the limits of the posterior triangle?
Anterior surface of the trapezoid muscle, the posterior surface of the ECM and the upper surface of the clavicle.
What are the limits of the anterior triangle?
Anterior surface of the ECM, border of the mandible, line of the neck and the sternon
where is the omoclavicular(aka subclavian) traingle located?
In the posterior triangle, it is seperated from the occipital triangle by the posterior belly of the omohyoid muscle
