When did the “Final Solution” take action?
In 1942 minutes Jen Nazi officials decided on a plan to create large scale death camps for Jews to be liquidated in. This would take over 6 million Jewish lives across Europe by the end of WWII.
What happened to those responsible?
The Nuremberg trials which lasted between 1945-1948 for high ranked Nazi officials.
What was the “Final Solution”?
The plan to finally “rid of Germany’s problems by extinguishing the Jewish population.”
What was the Treaty of Versailles?
The treaty that ended WW1 for Germany which was enacted on June 28th, 1919. Between Germany , USA, UK, and France.
What were the Youth Groups Established?
Ages 6-10: Pimpefen
Ages 10-14: Deutsches Jungvolk and Jungmadel
Ages 14-18: Hitlerjugend and Bund Deutscher Madel
What were the reparations Germany faced that were established in the Treaty of Versailles?
- Germany had to accept responsibility of WW1 called the “War Guilt Clause”.
- Germany had to pay for damages.
- Germany losses 13% of its land and six-million people.
- Germany had all of its colonies taken.
- The German army would be limited. No Air Force or submarines allowed.
- Part of Germany (the Rhineland) would be occupied by allied troops for a period of 15 years.
- No “Anschluss” allowed.
