1st navy law-1898-7 more battleships to be built in next 3 years
2nd law-1900-doubled the size of gs fleet to 38 battleships
more laws-early 1900s /1902 naval-arms race began between G and B.
Admiral von Tirpitz-passed laws,Kaiser thought it d put pressure on countries like B and F take G more seriously.-have more overseas colonies
