Centre
What is the maximum distance you can pass by a waypoint for the for the active waypoint to move to the next in sequence?
21 NM
Further than this and the ‘old’ active waypoint remains.
The 2 GPS receivers send their information where?
To their corresponding IRSs. These then feed the FMC. If the IRSs are inoperative then the GPSs feed the FMC direct.
What are the primary sources for attitude on the primary flight displays?

Is the ADF tuned automatically?
No
Can the IRS be re-aligned in flight?
Yes. In level unaccelerated flight.
What does a horn in the nose wheel well mean when on the ground?
An IRS is on, and running on battery power. ( hot battery bus)
How long must the IRSs be switched off for to realign?
30 Seconds
How do you manually enter an ILS or GLS?
ILS freq/course. Ie 111.7/245
GLS just the channel. Ie 20661
What are the approach tuning inhibits?
After LOC or GS capture with autopilot
Below 500ft without autopilot
How can you remove tuning inhibits?
TOGA switch
A/P off, FDs off
APP switch off above 1500ft RA
If an IRS cannot provide attitude to the PFD, what provides data?
ISFD . Message SGL SOURCE ATTITUDE will be displayed.
VSD is in route mode when ______ is engaged.
LNAV
If in HDG, the VSD is in what mode?
Track mode. Track mode is also used if deviation is more than the RNP.
What is the VSD corridor width?
2 times RNP value. Max width 10 miles
