Q

What are the runway facilities required for a takeoff with RVR 1,600 feet or visibility 1/4 mile?

With RVR 1,000 feet touchdown, RVR 1,000 feet rollout?

With RVR 500 feet touchdown, RVR 500 feet mid, RVR 500 feet rollout?

A

Adequate visual reference

CL or RCLM and HIRL, with 2 RVR sensors both are RC, with 3 RVR sensors 2 are required and all operating RVR’s are controlling

Q

How do you determine DA/DDA?

A
  • If minimums are preceded by LNAV/VNAV DA do not add 50 feet to minimums (DA = Don’t Add)
  • If minimums are preceded by MDA add 50 feet to minimums, unless a ball note is published (MDA = Must Do Arithmetic)
