  • Heavy freezing drizzle (+FZDZ)
  • Heavy snow pellets/small hail (+GS)
  • Hail (GR) any
  • Heavy ice pellets (+PL)
  • Moderate ice pellets (PL) mixed with any other form of precipitation
  • Light ice pellets (-PL) at certain temperatures mixed with other forms of precipitation - See HOT table

Avoid the downwind (anvil) side by at least one mile for every knot of wind at that flight level
