What is an attack point?
A prominent feature on a map which is close by to your intended end point, you could use this to navigate to first before navigating to your end point.

What is aiming off?
If heading on a bearing to a point on a linear feature, you deliberately aim off to the left/right, when you hit the feature you will then know which way to turn and how far.
What is hand railing?
A technique by which you use an obvious linear future to lead you towards your target (e.g a stream, steep drop, or ridge line).
What is a back bearing?
A back bearing from a prominent feature to your location in order to establish your location.
