Navigating the Brain Flashcards
What direction is “dorsal” in the human brain (and what can it be called appart from dorsal)?
toward back ([above] and superior)
What direction is “Rostral” in the human brain (and what can it be called appart from Rostral)?
toward nose ([in front] and anterior)
What direction is “Caudal” in the human brain (and what can it be called appart from Caudal)?
toward tail ([at/near the end] and Posterior)
What direction is “Ventral” in the human brain (and what can it be called appart from Ventral)?
toward belly ([below] and Inferior)
What is it called when you view the brain up to down and diseworsa?
Axial
What is it called when you view the brain Forward to back and diseworsa?
Coronal
What is it called when you view the brain Right to left and diseworsa?
Sagitall
Where is the forebrain?
superior (above and cover most of the brain)
where is the Midbrain?
inferior (close to the midle of the brain but are a bit towards the belly)
where is the Hindbrain?
inferor and posterior (towards the the belly but also near the end)
where is the frontal lobe at?
between Doral/superior and Rostral/anterior
where is the central sulcus?
at the Doral/superior part of the brain????
where is the parietal lobe?
betwen doral/superior and Caudal/Posterior
where is the Tempora lobe?
at Ventral/Inferior
where is the Occipital lobe?
Caudal/Posterior and Ventral/Inferior
in what part of the brain is the superior Frontal Gyrus?
in the frontal lobe
where is the Middle frontal gyrus?
In the Frontal lobe
where is the Lateral occiptal gyri?
in the Occippital lobe
in what front would you want to view the brain if you wanna see both Right Hemisphere and Left Hemisphere
in Axial and Coronal also works
Cuneus
in back of the brain where primary visual cortex is
precentral gyrus
right in front of the central sulcus .primary motor cortex
