Q

Did you agree to this?

A

I asked Mr. Campbell if he would be willing to reschedule his flight. It was 6:00 pm on the Fourth after all. I wouldn’t want my employees to have to work late on a holiday. But Mr. Campbell demanded he fly that night.

Did you go to fuel the plane?

A

As I said before Danny was already at the airfield so I gave him instructions on what to do. I also decided to go to the airfield to ensure that everything was going okay.

Q

Did you look over Danny’s work?

A

I arrived just as Mr. Campbell was heading out on the flight. I had a quick chat with him to ensure that everything had gone okay. While I did not get to check the plane, Danny did show me the sump sample he took.

Was there anything wrong with the fuel sample?

A

No, there were the usual traces of water, but nothing unsafe. The gas was the correct color as well, Blue as the ocean.

Q

Did you ever improperly maintain the plane?

A

No, I never improperly maintained that plane. Safety is very important to me. Doing something halfway in my line of work gets people killed. Now I can’t say whether or not Danny did everything right on July 4th.

Q

Is there any possibility that something happened mid-flight to cause engine failure?

A

It is possible that water from the rainy weather seeped into the fuel tank, contaminating the fuel.
