Q

Pros and cons of intranasal cromolyn mast-cell stabilizers?

A

MOA: inhibits mast cell degradation->histamine release. Pros: it has very little side effects aside from local irritation and sneezing.
Cons: it is prophylactic and needs to be taken prior to allergen exposure, so ppl often wait too long to take it.
