*A participant narrator is often a character in the story, either the main or another character who knows and is close to the central character
maybe watching the story unfold that involves other characters
Omniscient
With access to all or some character’s thoughts, they know everything
the narrator can possess different levels of knowledge about the characters thoughts, feelings and actions
Editorial omniscient is when the character adds in some of their own judgments into the story and the opposite is impartial omniscient

non participant
*A non-participant character does not involve themselves in the story and other characters, they refer to the characters as they, she or he
they stand from a distance and read into the mind of the characters
limited omniscient
when a non-participant narrator sees the events through the eyes of a character other than themselves it is called limited or relative omniscient.
the narrator chooses which perspective the character we see and feel things from and even leaves the readers to figure out things on their own,
the narrator is restricted to the thoughts and perceptions of the characters
objective
no access to feelings, or thoughts of characters!

naive or innocent narrator
a character who fails to understand all the implications of the story
unreliable narrator
misleads the readers, withholds key information from readers
