-But it took away many rights from women and brought back slavery.

When did Napoleon become Emperor? Explain how this is ironic post-French Revolution.
-Napoleon becomes emperor December 2, 1804.
-It is ironic because a little more than 10 years before, France had a revolution to remove the monarchy, only for Napoleon to be crowned.
