Q
How was Europe after Napoleon like?
A
The congress of Vienna, including the leading powers of Europe, met after Napoleon’s abdication to ensure there was no repeat of the constant warfare of the previous years.
Austria was given control of Northern Italy, Prussia was made larger, and the German states formed a German confederation.
Louis XVI’s younger brother was made the emperor, but he had to rule with the help of the constitution and parliament. This reintroduced the constitutional monarchy.
