Dose adult
0.4-2mg slow Iv push, q 2-3 min IV,IO or until respiratory status improves
2mg IM
1 mg per nare IN, ET or until respiratory status improves
dose pedi
0.1mg/kg IM,IV,IN max dose of 2mg/dose
precautions
caution with pt potentially dependend on narcotics, may induce withdrawal, including newborn infants with addicted mothers
