What are the two types of myocardial infarction and what are the differences between them

- STEMI: ST segment is elevated
- NSTEMI: ST segment is normal

A
- Chest pain
- Pain in other parts of the body
- Feeling lightheaded or dizzy
- Sweating
- Shortness of breath
- Feeling sick/ vomiting
- Coughing or wheezing

A
Asiprin- in ambulance (300mg I THINK !)

- Inhibits the production or thromboxane A2
- Which prevents aggregation of platelets and therefore clots

Antiplatelet drug/ P2Y12 antagonist

A
- Blocks P2Y12 receptor
- Prevents platelet aggregation
- Prevents blood clot formation
