How is myelodysplasia diagnosed?
A
Usually on routine testing
Typically presents in older people with increasing tiredness and exercise intolerance but lots of people put it down to getting older

FBC
- Anaemia
- Neutropenia rarely
Blood smear
Bone marrow aspirate
- Increased blasts
- Not >20%

What is seen on blood smear in myelodysplasia?
A
Macrocytic normoblastic anaemia

A
Urgent HSCT
