How is Mustang shot?
A
It is shot naturalistically, with the shooting style being largely static, slow, fluid or handheld. Framing becomes tighter as time goes on with lots of close ups and group shots to align us with their bond as they are entrapped

A
Appears almost incidental, merely capturing the sisters in a fly-on-the-wall documentary style leaning towards social realism.

A
The sexual abuse happening off screen shows it is hidden in Turkish society
