Q

Canon

A

Significant works of music — often Western classical pieces — are seen as the backbone of music; music itself is equated with these works
* These works are often considered the musical ‘canon,’ representing the totality of works that are seen to be of the highest quality; although classical music sales account for only ~3% of music sales globally! (in 1998 when this book was published)
