o Focuses on learning through real-life experiences and interactions with others
o Best way to learn is by being part of a community or group
Actively take part and learn through doing, rather than just studying from books or in a classroom

- Professional musician: A person who earns all or part of their income making music
- Semi-professional musician: A person who plays music for money on occasion and other times plays for free
- Amateur musician: A person who does not get paid to play music, but who still makes music actively
