Extension - look up to sky
Lateral bending - touch ear to shoulder

Flexion - move hands above head Hyperextension - move hands from above head in circular motion down behind back Abduction - from sides to above head Adduction - from above down to sides Internal rotation - up to behind head External rotation - down to behind back
Elbow joints
Flexion
Extension
Supination - palms facing up
Pronation - palms facing down
Wrist joints
Flexion - palm towards arm
Hyperextension - backs to arms
Fingers
Flexion
Hyperextension
Abduction - spread fingers out
Adduction - make fist
Hip joints
Flexion - leg out in front Hyperextension - leg back behind body Internal/external rotation - knee up and to each side Abduction - leg away from body Adduction - leg toward midline

Dorsiflexion/plantar Flexion
Inversion - soles of feet inward
Eversion - soles of feet outwards
Test muscle strength
Arms up and down
Legs in and out
Normal is 5+
Inspect and palpate spine
Posture
Symmetry
Curvature
Run hand down spine
