presents w/ snuffbox tenderness
increased risk of avascular necrosis

A
fracture of the distal radius w/ dorsal displacement
often seen in older women w/ osteoporosis

What are the differences b/w a monteggia fracture and a galeazzi fracture?
A
Monteggia = proximal ulnar fracture + radial head dislocation
Galeazzi = distal radial fracture + dislocation of ulna

What is the difference in presentation of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis?

Rheumatoid is symmetrical | OA is not
Rheumatoid involves proximal IP joints + MCP joints | OA has distal IP joints
