A

hip is flexed and thigh is adducted, which causes displacement of femoral head from acetabulum with a palpable “clunk”

A

hip is flexed at 90-degree angle and abducted with examiner’s finger over the greater trochanter, which reduces dislocated hip; a “clunk” is heard and felt
