Another term for the ‘shoulder muscle’.
Deltoid
Three-headed muscle.
Relaxes and contracts opposite to the bicep.
On the back side of the upper arm.
Tricep
Another term for ‘lats’.
Largest muscle on the upper body.
Latissmus dorsi
Muscles that make up the buttock area.
Another term for ‘glutes’.
Gluteals
On the back of a person’s knee.
From your hip to just below your knee.
Hamstrings
On the back of the lower leg.
Flexes the knee and the foot.
Gastrocnemius
A muscle on the anterior (nearer to the front) part of the lower leg.
Tibialis anterior
Group of muscles at the front of your thigh.
Quadriceps
Group of muscles responsible for flexing the hip, or bringing the leg upward toward the body.
Hip Flexors
Responsible for movement of the trunk, spine, and core.
They assist in twisting to the right and left, and bending side to side.
External Obliques
A large muscle that lies on the front of the upper arm between the shoulder and the elbow.
Has two heads.
Biceps
A large muscle on the chest wall.
Performs flexion and rotation of the humerus.
Pectoralis Major
