Protects and supports the spinal cord.
Vertebrae
Another term for the ‘hip-bone’.
Pelvis
One of the two large bones of the forearm.
It runs parallel to the ulna.
On the thumb side of the arm.
Shorter of the two lower arm bones.
Thickest of the two lower arm bones.
Radius
One of the two large bones of the forearm.
It runs parallel to the radius.
On the little finger side of the arm.
Taller of the two lower arm bones.
Thinnest of the two lower arm bones.
Ulna
Bones of the wrist.
Carpals
The bone of the hand between the wrist and each finger.
Metacarpals
Another term for ‘fingers’ and ‘toes’.
Phalanges
A heavy, long bone that forms the leg above the knee.
Femur
Another term for ‘knee-cap’.
Patella
The larger of two lower leg bones.
On the inside of the leg.
