Q

Trapezius

A

Origin: Skull - External occipital protuberance
Fascia - ligamentum nuchae
Vertebrae - spines of C7, T1-12
Insertion: Clavicle - lateral 1/3
Scapula - acromion and spine
Action: Both elevates (upper fibers) and depresses (lower fibers) shoulder; retracts scapula, extends head
Nerve: Accessory nerve (cranial nerve XI)
