Biceps Brachii
Attachments:
Superior/Proximal: Short Head to Tip of Coracoid Process of Scapula & Long Head to Supraglenoid Tubercle of Scapula
Inferior/Distal: Tuberosity of Radius & Fascia of Forearm (via Bicipital Aponeurosis)
Action:
Supinates Forearm & when it is Supine, Flexes Forearm & Short Head Resists Disclocation of Shoulder
Coracobrachialis
Attachments:
Superior/Proximal: Tip of Coracoid Process of Scapula
Inferior/Distal: Middle Medial Humerus
Action:
Helps Flex and Adduct Arm & Resists Dislocation of Shoulder
Brachialis
Attachments:
Superior/Proximal: Distal Anterior Humerus
Inferior/Distal: Coronoid Process & Tuberosity of Ulna
Action:
Flexes Forearm in all positions
Triceps Brachii
Attachments:
Superior/Proximal: Long Head to Infraglenoid Tubercle of Scapula & Lateral Head to Posterior Humerus (Superior to Radial Groove) & Medial Head to Posterior Humerus (Inferior to Radial Groove)
Inferior/Distal: Proximal End of Olecranon of Ulna & Fascia of Forearm
Action:
Chief Extensor of Forearm & Long Head Resists Dislocation (Especially during Adduction)
Anconeus
Attachments:
Superior/Proximal: Lateral Epicondyle of Humerus
Inferior/Distal: Lateral Olecranon & Superior Posterior Ulna
Action:
Assists Trices in Extension & Stabilises Elbow & May Abduct Elbow during Pronation
