Action: Adduction of shoulder, extension of arm, internal rotation of shoulder/arm

Original: Supraspinous fossa
Insertion: greater tubercle
Action: abduction of the shoulder
Infraspinatus
Original: infraspinous fossa
Insertion: greater tubercle
Action: lateral rotation of the shoulder
Teres minor
Origin: lateral border of scapula
Insertion: greater tubercle
Action: lateral & external rotation of the shoulder
Subscapularis
Origin: subscapular fossa
Insertion: lesser tubercle
action: internal rotation of the shoulder

Origin: occipital bone, C1-C7, T1-T12
Insertion: spine scapula, clavicle, acromion process
Action: rotation scapula (upward & downward), elevation, depression, & adduction of scapula, extends neck
