Q

Serratus Anterior

A

O: ext. surfaces of lateral ribs 1-8
I: Ant surfaces of medial border of scapula
Action: Protracts the scapula , rotates the scapula in upward direction
Inn: long thoracic nerve (C5,6,7 )

A

O: upper - ext. occipital protuberance
middle- Spinous processes of 1st- 5th thoracic vertebrae
Lower- Spinous processes of 6-12th Thoracic vertebrae

I: upper- lateral 1/3 of clavicle and acromion process of scapula
middle- medial margin of acromion and superior lip of spine of scapula
Lower- Tubercle at the apex of the spine of scapula

Q

Rhomboids

A

O: Spinous processes of thoracic vertebrae 2-5 (Major) and spinous process at C7 and T1 (Minor)
I: Major- fibrous attachment to the medial border of scapula between spine and inferior angle
Minor- medial border of scapula , at the root of spine of the scapula.
Action: Adducts and elevates the scapula , down rotation of scapula, Retract the scapula
Inn: Dorsal Scapular nerve (C4, C5)
