Why must ligaments be able to stretch?
So that it is easier to move your joint
Why are cartilage and fluid needed in a joint?
So that it is easier to bend the arm and it makes it more stretchy
If cartilage breaks off, how will this affect the joint?
It will hurt when you bend your arm and will not be as smooth, this will damage the joint
Why is it important that tendons do NOT stretch?
The force of the muscle would be less and the arm would not move
How does an antagonistic pair of muscles work?
When one contracts the other relaxes
What group does a human, chaffinch, dog and whale fit into?
Vertebrates
How is the shape of the front limb of the whale adapted for moving in water?
It is big so that the whale can push more water so that it can go faster

Bone (calcium)
Why are joints needed in the arm?
So that the arm can bend
