Lifting of the ribs.

Flexion of trunk, child birth, helps to expire and defection.

Runs along the abdominal walls to the pubis.
What is are the functions of the external obliques ?
Flexion and rotation of the vertebral column , forceful respiration.
What is the function of the pectoralis major?
Medial rotation, flexion, adduction.
Where is the insertion point of the latissimus Doris?
Floor of the humerus.
What is the function of the latissimus dorsi?
Adduction and extension of the humerus.
Where is the supraspinatus located ?
Above the spine of the scapula
Where is the infraspinatus located ?
Below the spine of the scapula
Where is the teres minor located ?
Lateral border of scapula
Where is the subscapularis located ?
Anterior side of the scapula
Where is the insertion point of the trapezius ?
Occipital bone
What are the functions of the trapezius ?
Neck extension and adduction of the scapula.

Minor rotation of the scapula

It elevates the scapula.
