- Skeletal muscle
- Smooth muscle
- Cardiac muscle
It consciously choose to contract the muscle.
ex: skeletal muscles
Voluntary muscles
Under control of subconscious brain
ex: smooth muscles and cardiac muscle
Involuntary muscles
It is associated with internal organs. Also called visceral muscle.
Smooth muscles
Also called myocardium. It makes up walls of
heart. Elongated branched individual cells parallel to each other.
Cardiac muscles
It is the reception and conduction of impulses. Found in the brain and the spinal cord. Called neurons or nerve cells.
Nervous tissue
It is attached to bones produce voluntary movement of skeleton and also referred to as striated muscle. Looks striped under microscope.
