What are the signs and symptoms of Mumps?

A
  • Swelling of one or more salivary glands (parotid gland)
  • 1/3 don’t have swelling
  • Orchitis - inflammation of the testes (complication after puberty)

A
  • If parotitis present for more than 2 days, serologic testing
  • Throat swabs
  • IgG antibody titers
