Q
  1. LTM
A

Has a potrentially infinate capacity of memories which need retrieval to get it back in the STM

Q

Evaluation 1 (strength) (HM)

A

There are supporting case studies that show different areas of the brain are involved in STM and LTM. This through the study of HM (Scoville and Milner 1957) He had his hippocampus removed and thus his personaliity remained in tact but he coulnt form new LTMs.

Q

Evaluation 2 (weakness)

A

Too simple, research shows LTM and STM arent ‘unitary’ stores. This is shown for the STM by the WMM (badelely and hitch (1974)) and by the different types of LTM
