Define: TRR and its purpose
TRR: Training Requirement Review
- Process designed to revalidate individual training requirements and/or identify new training requirements to comply with fleet, rate, community, or course operating procedures.
Define: CETARS
CETARS: Corporate Enterprise and Training Resource Activity System
- A Navy-wide automated information system designed to manage and support the Navy training effort. Collects, compiles, and provides training managers and higher echelons of the Navy with student and course information.
State: Periodicity for conducting a FCR
Determined by the CCA to be conducted on an annual, biannual, or triennial cycle. Shall not exceed 3 years.
Define: The purpose of the student critique program
To provide feedback to the training and course supervisors on areas such as training and curriculum effectiveness, instructor performance, safety, and quality of life issues.
State: Who ensures all data within CETARS is accurate

Define: “A” school course of instruction
“A” school: Basic knowledge and skills for rate entry performance.

State and Define: The different ITER conditions
- Yellow: A situation that may result in delayed or canceled classes, failure to instruct critical learning objectives, degradations in training quality, inability to meet scheduled throughput, or quality of instruction in action is not taken.
- Red: A situation that will cancel or stop training entirely, or degrades NEC producing training to the point that the NEC cannot be awarded.

CDP: Course Data Processing code
- Unique code to identify each course of instruction and its location. Courses with the same CIN but taught at different locations will have separate CDP’s.
Define: “C” school course of instruction
“C” school: Provides advanced specialized knowledge/skills required to fill a particular billet.

Course Identification Number
State: The purpose of an ARB
- Not to be viewed as a punishment
- Used when all other means of student counseling and set back have failed. A tool to identify academic problems and makes recommendations concerning the disposition of the student and their future in the course.
State: The difference between a PQS and a JQR
- PQS: Personnel Qualification Standard
- JQR: Job Qualification Requirement
- PQS are on multiple platforms
- JQR are on a single platform
- JQR mirror PQS but do not have a NAVEDTRA number. Both are TYCOM approved.
Define: The purpose of FCR’s and audit trails
FCR: Formal Course Review
- An internal evaluation of a course ensuring technical accuracy and teach-ability, checks for course compliance to existing standards of instruction, overall course management, and assists in identifying areas of improvements needed.
Define: ITER and the purpose of the policy and reporting procedures.
ITER: Impaired Training and Education Report
- To establish the process for reporting conditions that may reduce the ability to train and/or educate personnel, and to seek assistance from their chain-of-command when necessary.
