Type 1 AC joint
A sprain or incomplete tear of the joint capsule and its reinforcing AC ligament
Type II AC joing
A complete tear of the joint capsule and its reinforcing ac ligament: in fact are the coracoclavicular ligament. Joint space widened. Clavicle elevated above acromion.
Type III AC joint
A complete tear of the a. joint capsule, b. AC ligaments, C. Caoraco-clavicular ligaments. Joint spae increased to 1.0 +-1.5 cm
