  • Animals move to find food, shelter, or a mate
  • Plants move towards the light
  • Plants don’t move positions but that doesn’t mean they are not living
  • E.g. Cats run, flowers move towards the sunlight (sunflower)

A
  • Respiration is the release of energy from food
    • This usually means oxygen > carbon dioxide
    • Oxygen goes to every cell of our body which gives us energy

sensitivity

A
  • Using sense organs (Eyes, ears, mouth, nose, touch)
  • Animals find their way using their sense organs
  • Plants don’t have sense organs but do respond to gravity and light
  • Sense = respond to it
