Mrs Birling here displays a strong sense of judgment blaming the father for Eva’s death instead of being held responsible for the sucide. Also it presents her as harsh and inhuman believing punishment should be used to resolve issues

This phrase depicts Mrs Birling as prejudice not trusting people that are lower class then she is. Emphasising her classist attitude towards the proletariat
