A

Getting the body under hook is most important. If I don’t have it I need to push their face and bring them up and get that under hook.

Bottom Side Control

A

Get frames in before they settle!

1) Normal shrimp to full guard or half guard: Outside arm frames opponents face inside arm frames their body inside quad pressures on other side. Goal is to make inside knee and elbow connection with the shrimp.
2) Ghost escape to Darse
3) Fly trap triangle

A

Throw in frames immediately and get on your side!

1) Get a leg to the mat and shrimp
2) Bench press escape to butterfly
3) Take away one of their arms, step over their leg and bridge to that side
4) Grab a foot, lift and slide my leg out.

A

4) Quarter Nelson, if they posture up under hook and slam them into a quarter Nelson.
5) Dog fight is coming, grab the under-hook and pressure into they to get side control, watch out for plan B sweep.

Bottom closed guard

A

1) Arm drag: same side grip wrist control my other arm goes into their arm pit. The elbow of the arm that is grabbing their armpit chicken wings up to make space for their hand. Same side grip arm stuffs their hand under my chicken wing while pulling my legs in. I’m trying to get their elbow to the mat. My hand then reaches for their lat and my chest becomes glued to their tricep. Pendulum up to back control.

In closed guard

A

1) Low break: Hands on hips, elbows tucked, my lead leg to their tail bone, lean weight to back leg to break the lock, knee slicer
2) High break: Hands on biceps, get to my feet, walk till lead knee goes into his tail bone, hands switch to hips and push down. Pass.

Bottom Kesa Gatame

A

1) Bridge and row my arm out. Walk my legs to his and insert a hook. Take the back.
2) Body lock and walk my feet towards theirs. Bridge up and roll them to their back. Watch out for Kimura.

Use these back and forth as they work in opposite directions.

Top open guard

A

1) Thigh clamp pass: opponent thigh is on my trap and the other is is pinned by my knee. Establish a tight gable grip low on the thigh. Look at opponents sternum and pressure like I’m trying to touch it with my head. Walking my legs to his head. Lots of pressure. Go to a reverse knee on belly. Then go to knee on belly. If they roll away take the back.

I have front headlock

A

1) Head in the hole
2) Knee in the hole
3) Crucifix: Circle opponent. My knee goes behind opponents elbow: important. Inside arm grapevines their outside arm. Threaten the choke. Pull their arm back and leg triangle their arm. Finish choke or transition to body lock. Roll to my back. Outside hook in and RNC. I can also sprawl out and keep my chest to their back and then put a hook in and fall to that side if they create too much distance.

I have Electric Underhooks

A

Getting the body under hook is most important start to electric Underhooks. If I don’t have it I need to push their face and bring them up and get that under hook.
