A

When the motor programme has been well learned and is stored in the LTM. A response. An now be made automatically in the autonomous stage

Q

Open loop control level 1

A

A system of subconscious control that does not use or reference feedback. ( the plan or EMP stored in the LTM——-> the action of the working muscles) Only effective when the environment is predictable.

Q

Closed loop control level 2

A

Involves feedback and this is termed the perceptual trace. ( the EMP in the LTM—-(memory trace)——>the action of working muscles, then feedback via muscles back to the emp through kinaesthesis and proprioception during the skill.

Q

Closed loop control level 3

A

Feedback loop is longer because info of performance is relayed to the brain. (the emp in the LTM——-(memory trace)——-> the action of the working muscles—–(perceptual trace)—->back to the EMP.
