Motivations
The driving force or reasoning behind a persons desires to do something: the explanation someone may give for wanting to achieve a particular feat, complete a task or recognise a dream
Intrinsic motivation
Intrinsic motivations come from within an example is to get personal satisfaction from doing something
Extrinsic motivation
Motivations we got from outside ourselves, that are external to us an example would be to do something for money
Competence Mastery
Being able to master a skill or activity or being competent in something you do
Stimulus Avoidance
A type of negative reinforcement where we do something to help avoid something else
Socialisation
Then social benefits we get from participating in experiences
Cognative Reward
Mental rewards we get from participating in experiences
Flow
Being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away, time flies, every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably
