3
Q

How does ATC wok?

A
  • Calculates pressure drop at the end of the ETT
  • Calculates the pressure/ flow required based on the diameter and length of the ETT
  • Changes pressure at wye to compensate

15
Q

characteristic of oxygen breath in servo-i

A

100 % oxygen given for 1 minute
then:
- oxygen concentration will return to the pre-set value
- Can be interrupted by repressing the O2 breaths fixed key during the 1 minute interval

16
Q

characteristic of preoxygenation in avea

A

Increases the oxygen concentration delivered to the patient for 2 minutes.

If the key is pressed again within this two-minute period, the maneuver is cancelled

17
Q

How much does O2 increase in adult/ped mode in AVea

A

79% above the set % O2

18
Q

How much does O2 increase in neonate mode in AVea

A

20% above the set % O2 or 100%, whichever is less

19
Q

What is the “O2 sensor calibration” in PB840

A
  • Not Equivalent to “Oxygen breaths”
  • Delivers 100% oxygen (if available) for two minutes and calibrates the oxygen sensor.
  • If you press the O2 key again, system restarts the two-minute interval.
  • Press CANCEL to stop the calibration.
20
Q

What is the “Suction Procedure” in evita?

A

1.3mins preoxygenation

2.When disconnection for suction occurs,
EvitaXL interrupts ventilation
–> Alarms silenced during disconnection

  1. After reconnection
    - -> 120 seconds post oxygenation (O2 concentration same as preoxy)
    - ->MV alarm silenced for 2 minutes
    - ->Other alarms silenced 15 seconds
21
Q

How much o2 does evita give after using suction procedure?

A

adult patient mode:
–>100 Vol.% O2

pediatric patient mode:
–> O2 concentration that is 25 % higher
than the set concentration

22
Q

How to assess suction procedure on Evita?

A

Touch–>Special Procedure–>additional function–> O2 Y suction« screen key,

the key turns yellow.

23
Q

characterisitc of avea nebulization?

A
Pneumatic jet nebulizer
20 minutes during inspiration
May cancel
Up to 8 Lpm
Flow decreased to patient 6 lpm
24
Q

characterisitc of evita nebulization?

A

Pneumatic jet nebulizer

Adult:
Available in all modes
Flow on inspiration only
Maintains minute volume

Pediatric:
Continuous flow
No volume compensation
Only in Pressure Control or Autoflow
No flow sensor
