Q

What did Matt downie say about the vagrancy act?

A

Matt Downie said that fining and imprisoning people forced to sleep rough is cruel and counterproductive. It undermines efforts to resolve causes of homelessness. He suggested we need to focus on solutions that provide compassion and support backed by the prime minister and deliver a generation of social and affordable homes.
